About the author

Oliwia Zalewa – a Polish film and theatre actress. A graduate of the Stanisław Wyspiański Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków, Wrocław branch, where she completed her studies with the Małgorzata Napiórkowska Award. She concluded her education with a debut performance in the play Mamoburger at the Kochanowski Theatre in Opole, and through collaboration with Royal Holloway, University of London. Her latest leading role in the film Lost & Found has brought the project into Oscar, BAFTA, BIFA, and European Film Award qualifying festivals.

Art forms a solid pillar of my identity, and through years spent exploring its most hidden corners, I have developed a deep conviction about its role in human life. Within art lies a powerful potential for uncovering the truth about ourselves; when properly understood and embraced, it can also become a catalyst for inner liberation.

This book was born out of a sincere passion for film and theatre, as well as a curiosity to explore and apply the resources inherent within them. Through this process, I was able to identify several factors that significantly shape the way we experience reality — and, as a result, the tools that allow us to consciously influence and shape that experience.

This book brings together personal experience, a journey through theatre school, and practical guidance on how to regain a sense of control in an uncertain world. I deeply believe in the necessity and mission of art — in its ability to touch what remains unspoken and to expand the boundaries of human consciousness.

If this book achieves for even one person what it has achieved for me, I will consider it my greatest success.
